Kenny bids Palau goodbye

Kenny served as part of the Royal Australian Navy deployed in Palau to assist in maritime surveillance.

Kenny will be replaced by Frank Iobbi who arrived on Palau last Sunday together with his family.

Kenny started orienting Iobbi in engineering works before he formally turnover his job on January 22.

Kenny feels grateful for the long stay in Palau. He said that maintaining the marine vessel to keep it going was one of his challenge as a Marine engineer, he said he had a “fantastic experience, working is always fun,” Kenny said.

As an outgoing Marine engineer, Kenny advised Iobbi “to enjoy his term and combine his work with pleasure.”

Kenny served in Palau from 2007 until 2010. After his term, he will go back to Australia.

Normally every two years, a replacement will be assigned to take the job.

Iobbi is serving the Australian Navy for 21 years.
