Koshiba: Records now show that President is a liar

A Land Court document provided to reporters listed at least 18 certificates of title to President Remengesau’s name. The document listed certificate of title #001-07, #004-01, #008-07, #035-08, #1039-02, #1067-04, #1091-05, #1121-05, #189-03, #374-01, #427-01, #439-01, #440-01, #487-08, #508-05, #545-01, #916-05 and #938-06.

In the press conference last week, Koshiba asked Remengesau if he was willing to open for media scrutiny documents involving lands he owns. Koshiba alleged during the press conference, that the president owns to his name over 40 properties. Remengesau during the press conference said that he owns at least seven properties. He however said the media can take a look at his assets and liabilities once he files it before the Code of Ethics Commission. “Records now show that the president is lying,” Koshiba said.

The list also showed that aside from the certificate of titles, 11 bill of sale and deed of transfer under Remengesau’s name. The document further listed four deed of transfer stating the president as grantee or lessee. The document also showed that there are nine warranty of deed under the president’s name. Koshiba earlier stated that the Remengesau is also building a property in Ngaraard amounting to at least $200,000. Koshiba’s running mate Jackson Ngiraingas told reporters that the president should open himself to an investigation of alleged corruption.
