KOROR (Palau Horizon) – THE Law Enforcement Academy training has commenced yesterday at the Palau Community College Campus.
Police officer Nicole Ngermelt Malsol of Criminal Investigation Section of Criminal Investigation of Drug Enforcement said there are 33 participants from different sectors and police officers of the different departments and agencies attending the training.
There are three from the airport police, one from PCC security, two from Hatohobei Rangers, two from Koror State Rangers, four from Bureau of Public Safety, three from Fire and one from Patrol Division. There are also some participants coming from the private sectors.
The three-month long LEAstarted on May 31 and will end onAugust 31, 2010.
The training covers a series of law enforcement and policing courses as well as the daily physical fitness program.
Masol,said instructorscoming from Attorney General Office, Fish and Wildlife, Marine Law, Division of Corrections and CIDE will also facilitate during the training.
This is the 18thLaw Enforcement Academy being conducted by the Bureau of Public Safety.
