THE 77th Liberation Day festivities will end on Saturday, July 22 with a special performance by Guam-based band, Biggah and Bettah courtesy of Budweiser.
Prior to their performance, CNMI officials led by Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and Saipan Mayor Ramon “RB” Camacho will deliver their remarks.
The other performers are the Palauan cultural dancers, the Battle of the Bands winner, Sugarking, and the Amazing Drag Queens.
“The closing ceremony is our last chance to celebrate such a special time in our community,” said Nadine Deleon Guerrero, chair of the Liberation Day Committee. “I encourage all…to join us in celebrating this year’s festivities. We plan on closing this year’s festivities with a bang.”
Mayor Camacho shares Deleon Guerrero’s sentiments.
“I invite the community to come down [to Garapan Fishing Base] and join us close the 2023 Liberation festivities by celebrating with family and friends as one community,” he said.
Deleon Guerrero said she’s grateful to the volunteers and sponsors who helped make this year’s parade and festivities possible.
“I would like to extend my sincerest heartfelt appreciation to our corporate sponsors, our government partners and especially our selfless volunteers who came out in droves to help us make this year’s celebration a success at such short notice,” she added. “Our committee could not have done this without the collective efforts of our entire community.”
