Lizama, Muna donate cash to Saipan Pacific Lions Club for renovating, maintaining Marine Beach pavilions

DEMOCRATIC Saipan mayoral candidate Rep. Richard T. Lizama and Precinct 5 House candidate Peter Reyes Muna on Saturday donated a total of $500 to officers and members of the Saipan Pacific Lions Club for renovating and maintaining the Marine Beach pavilions in Kagman.

Lizama and Muna personally handed $500 cash to Saipan Pacific Lions Club President Boyet Escober “for a job well done to our Precinct.”

Lizama said he and the “future Precinct 5 representative,” Peter Muna, will continue to support community organizations and volunteers who help maintain the cleanliness of pavilions and public parks on Saipan.

Lizama said it is very important to maintain the cleanliness of beach parks and the pavilions. He is also asking members of the public that whenever they use the pavilions, “please treat them as your own home.”

He said everyone has to make Saipan a better place to live.

He added it is not easy to renovate pavilions, considering the cost and effort. And that is why he is thankful to the Saipan Pacific Lions Club for maintaining the Marine Beach pavilions.

He also envisions a brand-new restroom at Marine Beach.

Muna said he will work with community organizations like the Saipan Pacific Lions Club to beautify the island. “We have to take care of our environment,” he said, adding that installing security cameras at popular beach sites and parks should also be considered.

For his part, Saipan Pacific Lions Club President Escober thanked Lizama and Muna. He said the club is grateful for the full support “they always provide to our beautification and other community projects.”
