The vehicles, which include six pick-up trucks, three five-door sport utility vehicles and one flat bed stake truck, are federally funded.
CNMI Procurement and Supply published yesterday the announcements for the invitation for bids for the vehicles as well as for the 11 portable generators with a capacity of 17,500 watts each.
A separate announcement was made for the purchase and installation of an industrial type centrifugal roof ventilation exhaust system for the medical supply storage facility of the hospital.
The hospital will also purchase an electric forklift that can lift up to 6,000 lbs. and one LP gas forklift with the same capacity.
According to the announcements, because these are federally funded projects “local preference is not available because it is prohibited by federal law….”
The hospital is also soliciting bids for hospital linens and other unspecified supplies.
