According to the restaurant manager, their original aim was to serve 100 Thanksgiving meals.
“Full Belly, Full Hearts,” Majesty said, was part of the 1,000 Meals Initiative to help the unemployed, low-income and homeless people affected by the economic downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The meals included roast chicken, ham, rice, vegetables, bread, fruit, cake/pie and water. Relief bags were also provided to the recipients.

Majesty wants to extend its special thanks to Dandan Bakery for donating 100 pieces of dinner rolls; Bitoy’s BBQ and Herman’s Bakery for providing at-cost, discounted chicken and ham; and donors from Northern Marianas College for providing food items that were included in the relief bags.
Since the Labor Day weekend, Majesty, with support from Micronesian Brokers Inc., has distributed close to 800 meals to community members.
They have also provided meal vouchers to those who were unable to receive Thanksgiving meals from Salvation Army which provided 300 Thanksgiving meals.
The restaurant management said they plan to do it all over again before Christmas.
Majesty Restaurant said at a time when other businesses are closing their doors, “we want to open ours to the people most affected by the pandemic.”
The restaurant added, “Our mother company has been in the CNMI for 30 years and has served the tourism industry through the highs and lows. We’ve weathered many storms. After Super Typhoon Yutu, the company offered free bus transportation to NMC students, and committed $40,000 to relief efforts and Thanksgiving meals. We’re all in this together, so we should all find ways to help our friends and neighbors.”
