The defendant, Glenn K. Kalen, also agreed to forfeit his shotgun. He will be placed on probation for the remainder of his suspended sentence.

The prosecution said Kalen admitted that on or about Aug. 7, 2009, he pointed a “short” shotgun at Christopher C. Camacho in As Matuis.

Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest noted that “the Office of the Attorney General is pleased with this conviction” and credits the three prosecutors who worked on the case.

“We are also thankful for the assistance offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,” Ernest said.

Assistant Attorney General Peter Prestley said the AG’s Office “takes any case involving the use of a firearm very seriously.”
