On Friday, Presiding Judge Mark W. Bennett of the Northern District of Iowa accepted the plea agreements signed by Roque Norita and Julita Sablan.
Bennett set the sentencing hearings for July 11, 2010.
The defendants were represented by their court-appointed attorneys Bruce Berline and Anthony Long.
Assistant U.S. Attorney James J. Benedetto prosecuted the case.
The court said a hearing for the defendants’ release may be heard this week as moved by the defense.
The court granted the defense’s motion to unseal all “sealed” matters related to the case.
The court then remanded the defendants to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
