Inos, who is also Fitial’s Finance secretary, refused to reveal the names of the two delegate candidates.
Inos said there are two other potential candidates for lt. governor, but he also declined to identify them.
The governor, he added, has been meeting with the individuals interested to be his running mate.
The Committee to Reelect Fitial, Inos said, has been holding regular meetings these past few weeks to discuss the selection of a new running mate.
He said there Republicans and Democrats who want to run on the Covenant slate next year.
The governor did not endorse any of the nine delegate candidates, and his Covenant Party did not field a candidate.
