The 83rd Covid-19-related fatality also occurred at GMH at approximately 8:27 p.m. Wednesday. The patient was a 55-year-old male with comorbidities that were further compounded Covid-19. He was admitted to GMH on October 20 and tested positive upon admission.

“While no words can take away the pain of losing someone close, I hope you can accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathies,” said Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero. “In scripture, we are told at dawn, life blossoms and renews itself; at dusk, it withers and dries up. It seems our dawns have not kept up with our dusks. As we mourn another soul lost to Covid-19, let us remember that our life is precious and fragile and our actions are not absent any consequences.”

To date, there have been a total of 4,903 officially reported cases of Covid-19 with 83 deaths, 1,592 cases in active isolation and 3,228 not in active isolation.
