PALMTRIO670 is ready to launch the second SoMe Awards, the island’s only social media award ceremony, on Feb. 1, Saturday, at the Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall.
Last year’s event was an energetic and entertaining gathering of podcasters, lifestyle influencers, makeup artists and gamers. The awards recognize social media content creators across a wide variety of categories.
This year, the Charan Ka-based comedic trio of Loyd Lely, Louvicki Camacho and Jefferson Mateo anticipate that the event will be “even larger,” with plans to take attendees and nominees “out of this world.”
“Our theme for 2025 is Area670, inspired by Area 51, a promising galaxy that has celestial bodies and an alien atmosphere,” Lely said. “Following the inaugural SoMe Awards in 2024, we’ve empowered many to harness social media as a powerful tool for enhancing marketing and sparking creativity. Organizing such a high-caliber event was no small feat, but it has shown us the potential to create a more exciting and inspiring experience for the entire community as we continue to support content creators in the CNMI.”
Voting is now live at mvariety.com/some for the following content creator categories: food, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, culture and gaming.
In addition, the Triggah-Killah awards will honor the following categories: best fishing, comedy, favorite podcast, health and fitness, music, best collab, and favorite content creator away from home.
Also at stake is the evening’s top honor: the Content Creator of the Year Award.
Tickets are available at Cafe 670 in Garapan for $55 and include a dinner buffet. This event is open to individuals aged 16 and older.
