Sichuan Airlines suspended all flights from Feb. 1, 2020, until further notice. On Jan. 30 and 31, Sichuan Airlines provided “ferry-in” and “live-out” service, meaning the airline arrived in the CNMI with no passengers and left the Commonwealth with travelers.
Similarly, China Eastern cancelled all flights from February 1, 2020, until further notice. China Eastern has stated that flights have been cancelled due to the 2019 novel coronavirus.
Last, Beijing Capital Airlines cancelled all flights beginning on Jan. 31, 2020, until the end of February. Beijing Capital Airlines also cited the monitoring and controlling of the 2019 novel coronavirus as the reason for the suspension.
