All three lawyers took and successfully passed the FSM bar examination, a requirement which all attorneys must meet before practicing law before the FSM Supreme Court.
Rescue, originally from Chuuk, graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009, in Lansing, Michigan. He is now working at the national government with the justice department as a staff attorney.
Kennedy, a U.S. citizen and former staff attorney for FSM Congress, is also a member in good standing of the District of Columbia, Court of Appeals and District of South Carolina. She graduated with a JD-MBA from the University of Tennessee in 2003, and is currently working as a law clerk at the Pohnpei State Supreme Court.
Douglas, a U.S. citizen, is a member in good standing of the state bar of Nevada. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1988 and is currently working at the U.S. Embassy in Kolonia, Pohnpei, as the deputy chief of mission.
