FUNAFUTI (Pacnews) — Three Tuvaluan men have been confirmed dead in a boating mishap in the Baltic Sea.
This has been confirmed to Pacnews by close relatives.
The three men were asleep in their cabins when their cargo ship, Smarland, hit another vessel in the Baltic Sea, near Sweden Monday morning.
Thick fog and poor vision have been attributed to the tragic accident.
Pacnews learned that rescuers had found the body of one of the three dead men. They were still searching for the bodies of the other two.
