MOHD Mamunur Rosid, a yard maintenance worker, discovered Saturday morning that three tires were missing from his car.
He immediately reported the theft to the Department of Public Safety, and shortly afterward, an investigator arrived to interview him.
While waiting for the results of the investigation, Rosid said he wants to alert the public, especially residents of Garapan.
Rosid lives in an apartment behind Gene’s Barber Shop on Middle Road in Garapan. In an interview Tuesday, he said he had parked his blue-gray 2015 Toyota Corolla in front of the former Saipan Auto Shop Co., located next to his apartment, at 9 p.m. after a day’s work.
The next morning, as he prepared to leave for work around 7 a.m., he was shocked to find three of his car’s tires — including the rims — missing.
Rosid said the theft likely occurred late that night. He is asking the public to report anyone selling tires directly. He added that the stolen tires are worth more than $1,000.
