4 scholarship programs available to NMI students

AT least four different scholarship organizations are offering to finance the college education of qualified local students.

Acting Scholarship Administrator Meliza S. Guajardo identified the four study grants as the Robert C. Bryd Scholarship, the National University Scholarship, the Thompson Scholarship and the CNMI Refaluwasch Scholarship.

Guajardo said the Byrd Scholarship is now accepting applications and the deadline has been set for June 3.

The National University Scholarship is offering to cover the cost of two courses in any of its online undergraduate or graduate programs for qualified students.

Guajardo said the University of Hawaii in Hilo is also offering a summer opportunity for graduate students interested in research related to conservation biology.

George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management program is offering a master’s degree.

Guajardo said additional information about these scholarships and other financial assistance available to CNMI students can be obtained from their office.

Students can contact them at 664-4750 or by sending an email at cnmicap@cnmischolarship .com.
