Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo retained on Friday the $5,000 cash bail imposed on Kyie Bernice SN. Bermudes, also known as “KB.”

Bermudes is being held on three counts of assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Associate Judge Perry Inos earlier ordered Bermudes’ arrest and imposed the $5,000 cash bail.

Police Officer Joan A. Pangelinan stated in her affidavit that the Tinian police received a call from the victim at about 4:52 p.m. on May 13, requesting for police assistance at a hotel.

Responding officers met the victim’s minor child.

The victim told police that her partner choked her and slammed her on the hood of the car.

The victim said her partner heard that her former boyfriend came to Tinian to visit her children.

Later, the affidavit stated, when the victim was sitting on the porch,  Bermudes threw a can of beer at her, hitting her forehead.

Bermudes also pulled the victim’s hair and slammed her down to the ground,  kicked her once on the hips and twice on her head, the affidavit stated.

It added that the victim managed to escaped and ran toward a restaurant where she called for police assistance.

Bermudes followed the victim, grabbed her hair again, slammed her down, and kicked her many times, the affidavit stated.

According to a restaurant staffer, the victim confided that Bermudes had been beating her up in the past nine months.

The staffer told police the victim had been “going to their restaurant many times, crying, to call for assistance.”
