6th grader wins GTC Geographic Bee

Angela Aniñon said she was surprised and happy that she won.

“My mom helped me study all the time and she gave me drills,” she said.

Jezreelyn Bulaklak, fifth grade student, placed second.

“I used the laptop to research and my mom and brothers tested me sometimes,” she said.

Patrick Agustin, sixth grader, finished third. “I prepared by looking at the Atlas and other books and by paying close attention during our social studies class,” he said.

The other students who competed in the final round were Aldionne Maglanque, Wen Juan Ke, Angelika Narvaez, Ha’ane Eugenio, Ann Ravell, Charita Quitano and Darion Jones.

The competition tested the students’ knowledge in geography.

GTC principal Charlotte Camacho said it was “our first ever Geography Bee, and hopefully we’ll have it every year now.”
