IN a groundbreaking and historic meeting held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, key government leaders, business visionaries, and international investors gathered to discuss an ambitious vision for CNMI’s future — one that promises economic transformation, job creation, and a new era of prosperity for all residents. Led by Sen. Corina Magofna, the meeting marked a crucial step toward the realization of CNMI’s very own Silicon Valley and University Town, a project spearheaded by Dr. Christian Wei and his associate Daniel Xu.
A united vision for economic revival
The meeting was attended by influential policymakers and business leaders, including Vin Armani (board president, Trade Council of the Marianas), Joshua Cook (board vice president, Trade Council of the Marianas), and Ted Deleon Guerrero (member, Trade Council of the Marianas). Their commitment to fostering innovation and investment in the CNMI underscored the government’s dedication to revitalizing the economy and positioning the islands as a hub for global technological and educational excellence.
Wei and Xu presented an impressive lineup of high-profile investment projects set to launch in CNMI, including:
• EV Z Motor – A cutting-edge electric vehicle manufacturer bringing sustainable transportation solutions to the islands.
• Apollo Solar – A leader in renewable energy, poised to transform CNMI’s power landscape with clean, affordable solar energy.
• Suzhou Mingzhi Technology – A premier high-end manufacturing firm planning a delegation visit to Saipan in early May to explore business opportunities.
• Hebei University Leadership Visit – A historic collaboration with Eucon International University that will establish a University Town and a 2+2 PGM project, ensuring world-class education and workforce development in CNMI.
