Aguon sentenced for disturbing the peace

Naraja credited two days already served by Aguon at the Department of Corrections facility.

Aguon was ordered to pay a $100 fine and a $25 court assessment fee.

As part of the plea agreement, the other charges of child abuse, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery were dismissed by the court upon the request of the prosecution.

On March 15, 2011, Aguon hit his five-year-old victim with a water ladle, the prosecution said.

Assistant Attorneys General Benjamin Petersburg and Tiberius Mocanu prosecuted the case while Chief Public Defender Adam Hardwicke served as Aguon’s counsel.
