Allen’s School of Performing Arts celebrates 1st year

“The event was a big success, thanks to all who attended and participated in the fun and entertainment,” dance instructor Allen Cuyugan said.

Cuyugan said the guests were entertained by Magic Ryan, a visiting magician from Guam, impersonators and several dance numbers that were popular in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

Named as “Lady of the Night” was Lita Reinman who showed up in her 1970s costume.

Cuyugan said  not only regular dance students were at the party but also individuals who were with the TakeCare Insurance program and are taking dance lessons for their health and fitness.

Lucky ticket holders  went home with various prizes in the raffle drawings. The event, which started 8:30 p.m., lasted until past 1 a.m.

Cuyugan said he owes the success of the school’s first anniversary to loyal clients who have been with him since it opened in September last year.

The school’s goal is to offer an alternative way of healthy living and changed lifestyle.

Allen’s School of Dance and Performing Arts offers ballroom dancing, low and high impact aerobics, Zumba, dance fusion, belly dancing, modern dances like hip-hop, techno, R&B, modern jazz, ballet jazz, local and international cultural dances. For more information call 233-LLEN (5536) or 989-1192.
