A JUVENILE was caught sniffing butane outside a house in Kagman on Tuesday afternoon.
When a responding police officer arrived, the boy’s eyes were allegedly still red and he appeared to be confused.
The officer confiscated two cans of butane. One can was still full with the cap on and the other was almost empty.
According to a witness, he saw the boy seated outside the house and holding a can of butane to his face.
The witness pulled over his vehicle and noticed that the boy was sniffing butane.
The witness approached the boy, who tried to leave the place. The witness managed to keep the minor in the area until the police arrived.
The boy told the police he bought two cans of butane from a store and started sniffing it. He claimed that he had been sniffing the gas “for a long time now.”
When the police officer asked the boy his name and house, the boy pointed north, south, then north again.
Early this month, police arrested a 15-year-old girl for allegedly sniffing butane at a residence in Chinatown.
