“FIREPROOF,” a post-Valentine movie event, is brought to you by Life in the Son Christian Fellowship.
All couples and even singles are invited to watch this life-changing movie about “never leaving your partner behind,” on Saturday, Feb. 21., at Life in the Son Christian Fellowship Facility, Chalan Pale Arnold, 2nd Floor of Alpex Showroom. Childcare is provided for free.

Tinian Chamber of Commerce
THE Tinian Chamber of Commerce will conduct its election of 2009 officers on Friday — not Thursday as earlier reported — Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m., in the Tinian Room of the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino.
Group to launch Let’s Go to School campaign
THE Northern Marianas Judiciary Historical Society, in a media release, said it will launch the 2009 Ta Fan Eskuela campaign today, Feb. 18, at GTC Elementary School at 12 noon.
The Ta Fan Eskuela — or Let’s Go to School — campaign was started in 2001 with the goal of providing essential school supplies to needy CNMI public school students.
This year, the group will be distributing supplies to the CNMI’s 12 elementary schools, including Tinian Elementary School and Sinapalo Elementary School on Rota.
Each school will be receiving 10 bags stocked with essential school supplies from the historical society.
The school principal will then be responsible for determining the 10 children from their school who would most benefit from the donation.
