This outage will allow the power distribution line crews to clear the vegetation that is contacting primary lines in the Susupe area.
This outage is necessary to ensure the safety of the power distribution personnel.

COLONIA, Yap (Yap State Government) — The Seventh Yap State Legislature’s Committee on Finance has scheduled to hold a public hearing on a measure regarding supplemental funding for the MV Hapilmohol.
The committee will begin with its hearing at 9:30 a.m. today, May 19, and continue until the members have exhausted their questions on what they need to know in order to help justify the bill when they bring it to the attention of the whole Legislature.
Bill 7-108 will appropriate $70,000 from the Yap general fund for the fiscal year 2009 supplemental budget for Hapilmohol operations and for other purposes.
The witnesses include Lt. Gov. Tony Tareg, Planning and Budget Director Kensley Ikosia, Department of Public Works and Transportation Director Alfonsus Ruwema, and the chief of the Division of Sea Transportation, Ruphino Yarowe.
The public is also invited to offer testimony.
