He said he has asked permission from Retirement Fund Administrator Richard S. Villagomez to inspect the documents pertaining to any contracts or agreement with Gary Sword and/or Express Electronics Ltd.
Atalig’s request was made through the Open Government Act.
He wants to see public records of the Retirement Fund dating from Jan. 1, 2006 to the present.
He also wants to inspect any and all audit reports pertaining to the Retirement Fund, any announcements, bids, proposals, and/or evaluations regarding the software project that was awarded to Express Electronics Ltd., and any and all documents pertaining to all contracts and/or agreement executed by the board of trustees of the Retirement Fund and/or the Retirement Fund.
Atalig reminded Villagomez that “refusing, in whole or in part, inspection of any public record shall include a statement of the specific exemption authorizing the withholding of the record (or part thereof) and a brief explanation of how the exemption applies to the record withheld.”
Recently, Atalig got a favorable order from the Superior Court which granted his motion for summary judgment regarding his request to see Tinian municipal government documents.
Atalig is expected to be on Tinian today to get all the documents he requested through the Open Government Act.
