The Australian regional development scholarship can be used for technical or vocational school, undergraduate and post-graduate studies, and up to the master’s level.
To be eligible applicants must be citizens of the Freely Associated States — the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau. They must have completed a two-year college program with a minimum 2.8 GPA by June 2010.
Alternately, applicants must be at least 25 years old with five years of work experience and a high school GPA of 2.8 or above.
The Australia regional development scholarship was created to aid development through education. After completing their studies awardees must spend two years in their home countries to help facilitate development.
The scholarship covers tuition and institution fees, living expenses, basic health care, tutorial assistance, and economy class airfare back to the home country after each school year.
