Church Pastor Claire Javillonar said she was impressed by the large turnout of community members.
“It was a great blessing for us to continue serving the community,” she said.
Hervin Jacinto, who heads the Northern Marianas College Nursing Club, said they don’t get tired in giving health care to people.
The nursing club has been joining the church’s health mission since it was launched.
Last Sunday, about six nursing volunteers assisted in blood pressure checkup and blood sugar examination at the Koblerville basketball court.
Jacinto said they are never short of equipment and supplies.
“We continue providing health services as part of the nursing volunteers’ service to the community,” he said.
The church already conducted free health clinics in Tanapag, Gualo Rai, Garapan, Chalan Kanoa and San Antonio.
Ronnie Doca, the church spokesman, said Sunday’s “event was very successful although the weather has always been a challenge to us.”
In Koblerville, the Group of Zion led by Jimmy Cayading was in-charge of the event.
The other groups are Jerusalem, Mispah, Bethel and the Tanapag extension church.
Doca said the Timothy Youth Performers also supported the medical mission.
Aside from free health services, which included facial massage, hair cut and counseling, the church also provided participants with refreshment and giveaways, Doca said as he thanked the sponsors — the NMC Nursing Club, Marianas Eye Institute, Manila Saloon, Brabu Pharmacy — and volunteers from the church.
