Assistant Attorney General Meaghan Hassel-Shearer says initial results should be out in less than an hour. Voter turnout was around 56 percent only: some 9,000 of the over 16,000 registered voters cast their ballots. Hassel-Shearer describes Election Day as “smooth.” She promises that the count, which was supposed to begin three hours ago, will be quick once it starts.
