Bridge Capital wants to be a good corporate neighbor

Lily Nguyen, executive assistant to Bridge Capital chairman John Baldwin, said they have donated to at least 13 entities.

“Bridge Capital has always been an active corporate member of the community. We have made many donations to various organizations. Since June 2009, we have given to 16 different causes,” she added.

Their beneficiaries include Junior Statesmen Summer School Program, Marianas High School, Northern Marianas College Student Government Association, NMC Library, Rota High School, Rota Junior High School, Tinian Junior/Senior High School, Pairie Football Club, the Friends of the Arts, Crime Stoppers,  PAWS, Saipan Chamber of Commerce and Beautify CNMI.

As of June 16, Bridge Capital had given $17,500 to different organizations, she added.

Yesterday, Nguyen said they  donated $500 to the Humanitarian Class “Back to School” Program of Ladera International School of Saipan.

The funds will be used to purchase school supplies for needy children, she added.

She said  Bridge Capital believes in being a good corporate neighbor and is delighted to call the CNMI home.

They want to help  organizations that perform important work, she added.

Nguyen said Bridge Capital has a donations committee that accepts, reviews and decides on donation requests.

For its recent donation to LISS, Nguyen  said she and Cristi Cabaltica-Abad visited the schoold to hear from the students and to present the check.

“Even in the hardest economic downturn, when many families are finding themselves in need, parents want to ensure that their children can start their school year off with optimism.  This is an ideal project for Bridge Capital to support and we commend these students for their unselfish giving,” Nguyen said.

Bridge Capital  is an international investment banking and real estate development company headquartered in the CNMI.
