Aldan recently got married and went off-island. She is on personal leave from Dec. 9 to 24.
Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos, in his capacity as the acting governor, issued a memorandum on Dec. 2 designating Cabrera’s temporary assignment.
“Effective this date and until the return of Capt. Aldan, Capt. Georgia Cabrera is hereby designated as acting commissioner of corrections. Please extend your full cooperation to Capt. Cabrera as she assumes these additional duties,” said Inos.
Inos also appointed Joaquin B. Songsong the acting secretary of the Department of Lands and Natural Resources.
Dr. Ignacio T. Dela Cruz, the secretary of DLNR, is on medical leave until Dec.13.
The Division of Energy also has a temporary chief.
Energy Director Thelma B. Inos went on personal leave yesterday until Dec. 24.
Public Works Secretary Diego B. Songsong designated Lorraine M. Seman the acting energy director until Inos’s return.
In a separate communication, Songsong appointed Isidoru N. Camacho the acting director of the Transportation/ Automotive/Heavy Equipment Division.
Beltran B. Muna, the director of the division, will return to work on Dec. 14.
