Candlelight vigil for Hap Halloran

Halloran passed away on June 7 in Menlo Park, California and is survived by his sons Dan and Tim and daughter Peggy.

The World War II bombardier was stationed on Saipan with the 73rd Bomb Wing. From 1994 and up to his last trip in April of 2008, Hap visited Saipan and Tinian no less than six times and was a distinguished speaker at the 50th and 60th Battle of Saipan commemoration ceremonies.
