Catholic Schools Week celebration ‘successful’

“As you can see tonight, there are a lot of people which tells me that the celebration of Catholic Schools Week is, once again, a success,” said DelaCruz

School staff, students, family and friends gathered that night for the culminating activity which included a show of appreciation for  those who helped make the occasion memorable.

“I would like to thank everybody who was involved in this celebration. It was beautiful. It was very successful, one whole week of giving thanks to those who participated,” the bishop said.

This year’s theme was “Catholic Schools: Dividends for Life,” which highlighted the schools’ commitment to infuse students with the faith, knowledge, morals and discipline that will help them lead fulfilling lives.

“Every year our Catholic Schools Week celebration  becomes more and more successful. And I’m really grateful to everyone that shared their time for the celebration,” DelaCruz said.

Catholic Schools Week was celebrated from Jan. 31 to Feb. 5.

Mount Carmel School on Saipan, Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja on Rota and St. Joseph Catholic School on Tinian recognized the parents who chose to send their children to Catholic schools, and acknowledged the outstanding commitment of teachers, administrators and other personnel who provide Catholic school education in the CNMI.
