CDA to auction 3 properties tomorrow

These include the assets of Westpac Freight in Lower Base, Saipan, at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

CDA Executive Director Manuel A. Sablan said they are attempting to collect a debt and any payments received will be used for that purpose.

The inventory includes equipment like back hoe, cement mixer, delivery van, shipping container, office furniture, and various other items.

A full listing of the assets for auction is available at the CDA office in Gualo Rai or at www.cda.gov.mp.

The items which are being sold “as is” and “where is” could be  paid in cash, certified check, or credit card but full payment of the bid amount is required before the property can be removed from the site.

All payments must be made before 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. Interested individuals may contact CDA loan manager Oscar C. Camacho at  234-7145 to inspect the items.

Also for auction in the CDA’s conference room at 2 p.m. on Oct. 30 is a 900 square-meter area in Ginalayan, Rota and a 702-square meter lot in South Garapan, including Casa de Felipe and all under improvements under the name of Felipe Atalig.

No minimum opening bid is set on the two properties but a 10 percent deposit of the purchase price must be paid on the day of the auction sale.

The remaining balance will be due within 10 days of the auction.

Failure to pay the balance within the 10-day period will result in forfeiture by the buyer of the 10 percent deposit, and any and all of the buyer’s rights. The property will revert to CDA.

The three properties will be sold “as is” and without warranty. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the property.

The auction is open to the public but the bids may be entered in person, in writing or by calling CDA Executive Director Manuel A. Sablan, P.O. Box 502149, Saipan, telephone number 234-7145, fax 235-7147 or to F. Matthew  Smith at P.O. Box 501127, Saipan, MP at tel. no. 235-7455, fax 234-7256.
