CHCC, Covid-19 Task Force to set up call center

Task force chairman Warren Villagomez said the number to call once it is activated is 682-7468 or 682-SHOT.

“We will have staff at the CHCC [Medical Care and Treatment Facility] call center site,” he added. “They will facilitate the dissemination of information, answer all frequently asked questions and assist our population so they can be more informed and updated on events that we are doing on a daily basis,” Villagomez said.

As part of the preparation for mass vaccination, Villagomez said they will ask private clinics and pharmacies on island to participate in the Covid-19 vaccine efforts.

“We are partnering with them so their medical, nursing staff and non-medical staff can support our efforts,” he added.

He said the CNMI Covid-19 vaccination plan will be implemented in three phases as recommended and approved by the federal government’s Operation Warp Speed and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:

  • Phase 1 – people working in healthcare settings, first responder agencies, and vulnerable populations;
  • Phase 2 – expanding to essential workers and the general population;
  • Phase 3 – continuation of general population and possible vaccination opportunity for children under the age of 15.
