In a memorandum, CNMI State Medicaid Agency Director Helen C. Sablan said there is a need to avoid any disruption in medical care for the beneficiaries and their family members.
She said the automatic renewal is valid for Medicaid cards that expired on March 13, 2020 “and thereafter until such time the government resumes its normal operating hours.”
For example, she said, if the Medicaid card expired on March 13, 2020 the new expiration date will be April 1, 2020.
Sablan advises all beneficiaries to visit the Medicaid office on Capital Hill once the government resumes normal operating hours. They must bring with them required documents and completed renewal forms.
