GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang issued the following statement on Tuesday:
“We would like to take a moment to congratulate this Legislature on a successful and seamless inauguration. The smooth transition of leadership reflects the dedication and commitment of all involved in upholding the democratic principles that guide our Commonwealth. It is a testament to our shared values and a promising start to this term.
“We look forward to continuing our work together to create sustainable growth within our community. As we finalize the amended proposed FY25 Budget for submission, we encourage the 24th Northern Marianas Commonwealth Legislature to consider how these changes will have a positive impact. We also look forward to the timely appointments of qualified individuals to vacancies within our Commissions. Aside from these pressing issues, we hope to join together to address key challenges that we currently face as a Commonwealth with economic recovery at the forefront, followed by investing in the educational systems within our community and continuing to develop modern infrastructure for generations to come.
