Continental spokesperson Mary Torre confirmed Thursday that Continental Airlines had stepped in again to operate roundtrip flights between Guam’s A.B. Won Pat International Airport and the Saipan airport.
This is the third reported time in two weeks that Continental has had to operate charter flights because Cape Air’s plane was inoperable.
Torre said they began the charter flights Thursday and another will depart Guam at 2:15 a.m. on Friday morning using a Boeing 737 next-generation aircraft.
Torre said they expect Cape Air to resume flights on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m.
However, online reservations at Continental.com show that Cape Air will not resume flights until Sunday.
