Sanchez has been charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree and another count of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree charges.
Babauta was charged with one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree, one count of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, one count of child abuse, and one count of obstruction of justice.
Inos heard oral arguments from Chief Prosecutor George Hasselback and Assistant Public Defender Matthew Holley, who represented both Sanchez and Babauta.
The court also heard the testimony of Detectives Steven Castro and Vincente Mareham.
After the hearing, Sanchez was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections, while Babauta, who is in a wheelchair, was placed under house arrest.
