Wiseman said the hearing starts at 1:30 this afternoon.
A hearing was held on April 9, on Sablan’s request for production of documents pursuant to the Open Government Act.
The defendants represented by Assistant Attorney General Brad Huesman objected to present three documents which included the letter which showed the engagement of the services of the Washington D.C. law firm for the governor’s federalization lawsuit, the billing documents and statements sent to the administration for the litigation, and the documents reflecting payments made by the administration to the attorneys.
The court ordered the defendants to produce all other requested documents to Sablan on April 14, except the three documents listed above within seven days of the date of the order.
The defendants were also ordered to file a privilege log with the court within 10 days of the date of the order, which the defendants filed on April 24.
Today’s hearing will cover discussions on the enumerated items listed in the privilege log and to what extent the Open Government Act restricts the release of the above-mentioned documents.
