Court suspends prosecution of defendant admitted into diversion program

Jingsong Lin has been accepted into the Adult Diversion Program at the Adult Probation Office, the court was told.

Jingsong Lin has been charged with permitting agent to sell alcohol to underage person, and permitting agent to sell alcohol to underage person who is not in immediate possession of an identification card last April 20, 2010.

The Adult Probation Office told the court that Jingsong Lin’s participation in the Adult Diversion Program will commence upon the AGO’s motion to suspend prosecution, and the court’s granting of such motion.

Assistant Attorney General Peter Prestley prosecuted the case.

The court earlier sentenced Li Wu Pua, a co-defendant of Jingsong Li, to seven days imprisonment, all suspended. Li Wu Pua had been placed on one year probation since Dec. 2010.
