CUC and NMTech strengthen partnership

THE Commonwealth Utilities Corporation and Northern Marianas Technical Institute formalized their commitment to collaborative educational initiatives with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This milestone agreement paves the way for enhanced opportunities for individuals seeking hands-on experience in trades.

The MOU signing took place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the NMTech campus. Among those who were present were CUC’s Human Resources Manager Francisco Matsunaga Jr., and NMTech’s  Chief Executive Officer Jodina Attao. The event was attended by CUC and NMTech staff, underscoring this partnership’s collaborative spirit. Under this agreement, NMTech will allow students to intern at various CUC facilities, where they will gain practical insights and valuable skills in utility operations, contributing to the growth of employment in trades.
