CUC announces vacancy for Muna’s post

CUC human resources manager Frankie Cepeda said the JVA for the executive director’s post was opened on July 2 and will close on Aug. 2.

Muna has already resigned, but his resignation will take effect once his replacement is hired.

The new executive director will get a two-year contract with a salary ranging from $120,000 to 150,000 annually.

Cepeda said CUC revised the JVA for the position of the deputy director for water and wastewater.

The position was previously held by Bruce Megarr, who is one of the seven applicants for the post.

The JVA was opened on Jan. 6 and it was supposed to close once the post is filled.

However, CUC revised the closing date, which is now July 16.

The title was also changed to deputy executive director, who will now directly report to the executive director, instead of to the assistant executive director.

The position has a salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

The minimum requirements for the executive director are: master’s degree in management, engineering, finance, or public administration, or, in the alternative, a bachelor’s degree in engineering and registration as a professional engineer pursuant to the National Council of Engineering Examiners standards in either the civil, chemical, mechanical, or electrical branch.

The executive director should  have a senior management experience of at least 10 years in a similar wastewater, drinking water, and or power utility with similar or greater capital and operating budgets, capital improvement projects, human resource needs, utility financing issues, operation and maintenance training and implementation needs.
