In his report to the CUC board, Camacho said the power division connected the field hospital to existing power distribution lines.
The work involved the design of a power connection setup, he added.
To properly supply the medical equipment housed in the field hospital, CHC’s load calculation had to be considered, Camacho said.
Camacho said the power division has placed a completion date for the provision of distribution services on April 10.
The field hospital will serve as a treatment center for future patients affected by Covid-19 and is part of the CNMI preparedness and infection control measures supported by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
