CUC Deputy Executive Director Alan W. Fletcher at the same time advised the public to avoid fishing, swimming, wading and making water contact in the area, citing “harmful organisms found in wastewater.”
He said CUC’s laboratory has performed marine water testing in the affected areas and continues to collect beach samples at Pakpak Beach and the Pacific Islands Club beach.
The result is expected to be available at 3 p.m. today Dec. 14.
On Monday, Fletcher said CUC crew already repaired the failed sewage conveyance system near the Agingan Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The problem caused untreated wastewater to spill into Agingan Point, Pakpak Beach and the beaches south of San Antonio Village on Monday.
