He said CUC Tinian staff cleaned all coliform sample taps.
In his report to the Division of Environmental Quality, Malae said CUC staff flushed lines through the system and installed a CUC dedicated sample tap in the San Jose area.
“CUC Tinian expects to install locked CUC dedicated sample taps at the remaining 14 total coliform sites within the next month,” he said.
A total of six safe drinking water samples were collected on Nov. 16 but none had shown presence of total coliform, he added.
He said CUC Tinian already issued the required resolved maximum contaminant level public notice in compliance with the total coliform rule.
CUC Rota water staff collected three routine safe drinking water sample and none contained total coliform.
Rota public water system complied with the total coliform rule during the monitoring period, CUC said.
On Saipan, CUC staff collected total coliform positive routine sample on November.
The Saipan public water system remained in compliance with the total coliform rule, CUC said.
