Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Michael Byerley said in a phone interview that DPS Tinian, in collaboration with federal agents, arrested Quichocho.
Yesterday, Quichocho was brought before U.S. District Court for the NMI Designated Presiding Judge David Wiseman.
In an interview, Assistant U.S. Attorney James Benedetto said Wiseman set a bail hearing for Quichocho on Thursday.
Wiseman then remanded Quichocho to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Quichocho was indicted by a grand jury for distribution of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
On April 19, 2008, Quichocho possessed with intent to distribute .037 gram of methamphetamine, the indictment stated.
The indictment was filed on Nov. 5, and was unsealed after Quichocho’s arrest yesterday.
