“We are still closely working with him,” she said. “His programs are ongoing and we have the responsibility to pursue and improve them.”
A month after she assumed the post, Kintol said the school operation “is manageable although we can’t say it’s very smooth because of the recent typhoon which affected the school.”
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. was able to restore the school’s power supply after it was cut off when Typhoon Melor hit Saipan.
The vice principal’s post, which Kintol previous occupied, is still vacant.
She said the Public School System is announcing a vacancy for the post and the teachers of DES can submit their applications.
There are many teachers at DES who are “potential candidates” for the vice principal’s position, she added.
Kintol said her new job is a “great challenge,” especially when it comes to addressing the needs of the school.
