(DFEMS) — The Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Environmental and Costal Quality, Fish and Wildlife, the CNMI Emergency Operations Center-State Warning Point, in conjunction with the United States Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment Marianas, would like to inform the general public that the U.S. Navy EOD Detachment Marianas will be conducting detonation activity at the Saipan Marpi Blow Pit. There will be a scheduled road closure for Marpi Road, Marpi Landfill, Banzai Cliff, Suicide Cliff, and the Grotto.

The general location of this activity will be at Marpi Blow Pit within a 500-foot radius on all quadrants to 2,500 feet above sea level.
