THE CNMI Department of Labor reminds job seekers that there will be a job fair on Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.
Vince Sablan, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance management analyst at CNMI DOL, said the venue will accommodate 17 private sector employers and six government agencies and nonprofits.
“We want to let the community know that [even though] there’s not a lot of good things in the news right now … there are jobs available,” Sablan said. “You need to go out and look for them.”
Residents are encouraged to bring their updated résumés and “dress to impress.” Sablan said there is a possibility that companies could hire on site or set up follow-up meetings after the job fair.
“We’re holding the job fair because we listened to what [the community] said last time. A lot of them requested we had [job fairs] with more frequency, and more than one a year,” he added.
